Notes on Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC SLD ELD ...- I've been using this lens for a little more than a month now and I'm very happy with it.
I use it for weddings, portraits, landscape, and pretty much everything I do. It never comes off my camera. I'm using it with my D80 and I've had no problems at all.
I'm very impressed with the quality and performance of this lens.

Summary for Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC SLD ELD ...- Great Lens. Highly recommend.
Notes on Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 EX DC SLD ELD ...- Just received this gem and am very happy that I went with it. I have a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 and love it. So, I thought I would try Sigma again. Needed a sharp low light zoom with a semi wide angle for weddings, and presto, this lens fits the bill. I can also take macro shots, which greatly improves the score on this lens. The shots so far have been very sharp with amazing contrast. Only ding for sigma lenses is the stupid lens cap, that does not have the inner grips, so if you use a hood, you have to take it off to remove the lens cap. Simple fix sigma, get with the program. Also, a comparable lens for Nikon is the 17-55 f2.8 which I do not own since it is about $1200 vs the 400 I paid for this, so I have to assume I got a better deal for my needs.
